Training Pipeline
The 75th Fighter Squadron training pipeline is structured to ensure readiness from your first flight to advanced leadership roles. This progressive path builds foundational proficiency, mission execution, and upgrade qualifications.
Initial Qualification (IQT)
IQT 1 – Systems & Ground Knowledge
In depth discussion in which the pilot will display their knowledge on all primary systems.
IQT 2 – Weapons Employment
Display weapons and basic surface attack principles.
IQT 3 – Tactical Maneuvers
Open discussion on FSTR as well as three rounds of 1v1 BFM.
Mission Qualification (MQT)
MQT 1 – CAS
Advanced BAI, SCAR, CSAR, and CAS fundamentals.
MQT 2 – Night Operations
VFR and basic instrument night flying, operating NVGs, and night tanking.
MQT 3 – IFR & Precision Strike
IFR full instrument flying under poor visibility as well as other IFR mission operations.
Upgrade Qualifications
FLUG – Flight Lead
Leading elements and flights. Required to be a element or flight lead on missions.
FAC(A)
Learn to command and control in a Close Air Support environment in the MISTY mission set. Required to FAC(A) on missions.
CSAR Lead
Learn to be the Rescue Mission Commander (RMC) in CSAR operations. Required to fly as SANDY 1 on missions.
Instructor Pilot
Learn to assist in training newer pilots and grade checkrides.
