Commander’s Message: Why We Fly

Anyone can launch a sim. Wearing the Black Knights patch takes more.

We fly to get better, on purpose and with purpose. In the 667th, every sortie is deliberate: clear roles, disciplined execution, and a debrief that tells the truth. The Viper rewards preparation and punishes shortcuts; so do we.

You will not find a star system here. You will find wingmen who show up prepared, correct each other honestly, and measure success by the flight, not the highlight reel. Ego does not survive here. Standards do.

If you want a unit that demands more of you, and returns it in skill and trust, you are in the right place.

Initial Training Pipeline

Every Black Knight cadet follows a clear, progressive path from application to graduation. Our Initial Qualification Training (IQT) ensures each pilot builds tactical proficiency, flight discipline, and combat readiness.

“This isn’t a casual wing night — it’s disciplined, team-driven excellence.”

Step 1: Apply & Interview

Submit your application and meet with squad leadership to assess mindset, availability, and team fit.

Step 2: Flight I – Airmanship

Learn startup procedures, SRS comms, tactical formations, aerial refueling, and range entry protocols.

Step 3: Flight II – Air-to-Air

Develop radar mastery and BVR tactics, then engage in close-in WVR fights using both missiles and guns.

Step 4: Flight III – Air-to-Ground

Train with smart munitions (GBU, AGM, CBU), mission planning, target marking, and low-level strike ingress.

Step 5: Flight IV – Capstone

Execute a full mission profile as a flight lead. Complete your final debrief to earn your callsign and custom skin.

667th Air Demonstration Team

Precision. Pride. Legacy.

Earning a slot here means something.

Our demo pilots fly tighter, train harder, and represent the best of the 667th. They carry the squadron’s tradition and fly in honor of its legacy — because precision and pride aren’t optional.

Standards are high. Training is structured. The patch is earned.

The 667th is selective for a reason. We train disciplined Viper pilots who prepare, execute, and own the debrief.

If you are ready to meet that standard, and to earn your place among wingmen who expect the same, start your application.
