964th AACS Phoenix patch

Message from the Commander

The 964th Airborne Air Control Squadron “Phoenix” is the control backbone of the 51st Virtual Fighter Wing. While the jets fight, we own the picture—sequence, separation, and the calls that keep packages effective.

We work ground, tower, arrival and departure, and tactical control roles that turn a server full of aircraft into a coherent fight. LotATC is the tool; judgment and discipline are the standard.

If you want to shape the battlespace instead of only flying through it, you’re in the right squadron.

Overwatch. Omniscient.
— Lt. Col. "Pebble", Squadron Commander

What We Control

Phoenix controllers cover the full stack—from the field to the package.

Arrival / Departure

Flow into and out of the terminal area.

Alleycat

Tactical coordination in the fight.

Focus

Directed control for priority packages and push windows.

Overwatch

Big-picture SA so the wing stays synchronized.
