What We Look For
Know the gate before you knock. If this list fits, you’re in the right place.
Requirements
- ✓Age — 18 or older
- ✓Language — Fluent in English
- ✓Hardware — HOTAS and head tracking (VR or TrackIR strongly preferred)
- ✓Software — DCS Open Beta and SRS
- ✓Module — At least one high-fidelity airframe we fly
- ✓Map — Persian Gulf (minimum); Syria / Nevada / Marianas recommended
- ✓Status — Not an active member of another DCS combat squadron*
*Control (964th) applicants may be considered case-by-case.
Expectations
- ✓Specialize in one primary airframe first
- ✓Cold start, takeoff, land, and basic formation to standard
- ✓Stable connection and working SRS on the check ride
- ✓Use sensors and weapons competently
- ✓Fly scheduled ops at least monthly to stay active
- ✓Accept real standards, briefs, and honest debriefs

Earn cadet status, then progress through your squadron’s custom IQT pipeline.
