VFA-211 Fighting Checkmates fly the F/A-18C Hornet for the 51st Virtual Fighter Wing. Our mission is multi-role strike and air superiority from the carrier environment—disciplined, adaptable, and precise.

This squadron carries a long line in the wing, from the Fighting Cocks era through the Hornet rebirth. We train to a standard: clean decks, clear comms, and outcomes you can brief honestly.
